Southville Property and Architecture

Southville is situated immediately southwest of Bristol city centre and can be accessed via the A370 and A38, two primary arterial routes leading out of the city. The property stock almost entirely comprises of period terraced accommodation which was constructed within the Victorian era, which range in style from small walk in terraces to larger more imposing terraces, a number of which have been converted to offer flatted accommodation.

Southville Shopping and Entertainment

North Street Southville offers the central shopping area for this inner city suburb, here you will find the expected day to day requirements such as a range of cafes, high street banks, butchers, bakers, a number of take out food outlets and a Tescos express. Southville also provides a local Aldi food store and a large Sainsbury's store may be found to the south on Winterstoke Road.

The Tobacco Factory offers a central entertainment venue for the community and houses a theatre, café / bar and weekly market. Whilst the refurbished Hen & Chicken bar provides an extensive menu and is home to the comedy box which provides a great on-going line up of UK comedy.

Southville Leisure and Parks

There are two local parks Dame Emily Park which is described as a peaceful, shady retreat in the middle of busy Bristol and Greville Smyth Park which is home to many events throughout the year and offers such facilities as a children's play area, tennis courts, bowls and much more.

Just to the west of Southville may be found the Ashton Gate Estate which comprises 850 acres of woodland and meadows, deer parks, miniature railway and cycling.
