Paul Goverd — Director

Franchisee since 2001 and employed by CJ Hole in Southville since 1994, Paul Goverd lives and breathes this area and the business. He knows and loves the city and this pocket of it better than a cab driver, and insists that his team do likewise. Paul boasts a strong corporate background prior to his career in estate agency, with substantial chunks of time spent working for Bank of Scotland, Legal and General and Cadbury s. This experience gave him a solid grounding in marketing and management, which is evident in the success he has brought to the Southville office. From being eighth in the area league, Paul brought his agency up to number one in 2006 and has sustained that position ever since through sheer hard work and consistency. His greatest achievement is to have survived the recession and to have come out the other side with a brand new business as well as his existing sales business. Paul s experience and shrewdness gave him the impetus to launch a lettings department when the property market crashed. This had the added advantage of allowing him to retain all staff; a fact he is proud of. To Paul, his handpicked team is his business. He has trained every single one so they can benefit from everything he has learnt over the years. This means that each client receives honest, informed and educated advice, regardless of whom they speak to at the branch. Avoiding redundancies has allowed Paul to continue running an effective and high quality estate agency, which he believes is impossible with fewer than five members of staff. His two decades in the business has taught him that the client is key and that it is just as important to ensure efficient after-sales care, as it is to get an offer accepted a breadth of service often not provided by other agents. For CJ Hole Southville, it is one of their strengths. We re there to push the sale through so the vendor doesn t have to. People are entitled to a good service. We want to eradicate the stressful experiences people have of moving house. Although Paul is now a family man with a wife, two children and a love of walking on the Black Downs, his business is just as important to him as it ever was. In fact, he likens it to a child that he wants to nurture and watch thrive. With 30 years experience, his MNAEA qualifications and his lettings exams under his belt, he still has a thirst for learning and improving and keeps abreast of all market changes. You have to keep strengthening and altering systems. I m constantly looking to improve and deliver a better service. You can t sit back, even for a week.

James Dear — Branch Manager

Having been a key member of CJ Hole Southville since 2008 as a Lettings Valuer, He has now grown to the role of Branch Manager of CJ Hole Southville. His previous experience as a Sales Negotiator, Lettings Valuer and the Lettings Manager for CJ Hole and his lifelong knowledge of the city has helped him achieve an impressive conversion rate of properties he valued, a critical skill in this tough market. His success is due largely to his aptitude for valuing properties correctly. Crucially, James has unwavering belief in his company s brand and the service they can offer to clients, which is transferred to potential clients.

Sam Gray — Sales Manager

Sam joined CJ Hole after finishing college in 2010. He has now completed his NVQ Level 2 apprenticeship in sales and marketing. His role at CJ Hole saw him start in lettings showing clients properties and taking enquiries, then move over to the sales team. Initially as a sales negotiator he grew strength in his field moving to become a successful valuer in the Southville area. He is now the Sales Manager for CJ Hole Southville, valuing property while managing an outstanding team of Negotiators all working together to help clients successfully sell and find property.

Laura Turner — Office Marketing & Sales Negotiator

Laura started in October 2015, quickly eager to learn her role as a Sales Negotiator. In January 2016, Laura took over the role of the Sales and Lettings marketing administrator. Her role includes photographing and collating floor plans of properties. Laura takes great care when putting all the details together due to her keen eye to detail. Her important role also includes making sure properties are prepped such as arranging the nesseccary checks such as EPC surveys. Laura also carries out viewings and open houses. She is an attentive addition to the Sales Team always motivated to excel in her role.

Orlando Flynn — Sales Negotiator

Orlando joined CJ Hole in September 2013 to train in sales. He committed to an apprenticeship, graduated soon after & has been a full-time Sales Negotiator for the last two years. He has the same friendly, professional attitude with public and colleagues alike and has become a true asset as a part of the sales team.

Matthew Sheard — Sales Negotiator

Matthew joined Cj Hole Southville in Autumn 2016. He previously worked for Bristol Cathedral Choir School for five years, and Bristol Plays Music, after completing his Bachelors in Music. He has always found the built environment and property industry fascinating, and now working in the sector has ambitions to learn and develop his knowledge, with a view to moving in to property development.

Stan Pitman — Sales Progressor

Stan joined CJ Hole May 2017 working solely in sales progression. He has 8 years of knowledge and experience which is made up from working in Bath, London and Bristol. Stan was taught from day one of his career how to progress a sales file, however is still learning new methods every day. Himself and Nicola are office based and know the importance of efficiency to keep the sale moving at timely manner. Stan s approachable and hard working attitude means that he looks to succeed in everything he does.

Nicola Bridges — Sales Progressor

Nicola joined the sales progression team May 2017, she has 27 years estate agency experience working in the Bath and Bristol area. She is passionate about her work and aims to make the experience as stress free as possible.

Luke Goodliffe — Lettings Manager

Luke joined CJ Hole straight after finishing his A-Levels in 2011. He then completed an apprenticeship and a NVQ Level 2 in customer service. Luke started as a Lettings Negotiator, showing clients rental properties and contacting them about new properties becoming available. He progressed to Sales Negotiator with a similar role, but with a growing knowledge of the market and the area. Since starting in 2011, Luke has now progressed to be our Lettings manager. Luke is a team leader, an extremely hard worker and a very enthusiastic young man. He has remained friendly and positive through the years and always willing to help customers however he can.

Alice Ockwell — Lettings Co-ordinator

Alice started at Cj Hole in October 2014. Alice's role is key to keeping the administration of our managed lettings properties organised. Her role strongly supports our Lettings manager meaning Alice is a strong connector between landlords and tenants. She is extremely detailed in her work, friendly, Joyful and Motivated.

Chris Slater — Senior Lettings Negotiator

Chris joined CJ Hole in 2011 as a part of an apprenticeship scheme, which is now complete. He ensures that CJ Hole s rental applicants are booked in to view the most suitable properties for their needs, while keeping them up to date with property as they become available. He also organises all applicants referencing, letting them know at every stage the progress they have made. He is vigilant and hard working, attributes that help him maintain the smooth running and organisation of the rental viewings.

Duncan Fleming — Lettings Negotiator

Duncan joined Cj Hole in July 2016 and has settled into our Cj Hole office with plenty of ease. He deals with lettings enquiries, viewings and administration. Duncan prides himself on efficiency and working with a positive attitude. He is very approachable, calm, honest and Considerate to others.
