'We unknowingly joined a very warm, friendly and caring community, all contained in one little road, Sandgate Road. We were young newly-weds when we moved in, and Sandgate Road has seen us grow into a family. Each step of the way we have had the support of neighbours as friends, be it through a wave hello, a kind card through the door, or a chat whilst sitting on the front wall; Sandgate Road has been there for us. Not only have we enjoyed the sense of community, we have found the location of our house invaluable: many weekends have been spent locally enjoying walks through Arnos Vale cemetery, Nightingale Valley, and Eastwood Farm; not to mention the shops, all in walking distance of our home, which make popping out for emergency chocolate supplies very easy. We have an amazing local deli, a legendary ice-cream shop, a greengrocers, a butchery, a coffee shop a post office, all literally just around the corner! What more could you want? Our house is not just a house, it is a home. It is a sanctuary away from, yet still within reach of, the city centre.
